This weekend was really pretty good. Not even all things considered. I don't need to justify the goodness of this weekend. What the f??

Friday was rather long and tedious but I managed to flog out a bit of stress and wasn't terribly miserable all day like I thought I would be. Tired as fuck, yes. We went to Shteak and John was annoying and Daniel was Daniel and it was pretty normal and okay. Then we hit up Barnes and Noble and I found a Chanukah present for omg-so-gay Joe (which will hopefully amuse him) and we went back to the room and I stayed up until two and all was right with the world.

I was a complete lazy ass Saturday morning. It was glorious. I lay in bed until 11.30 reading Nick Hornby (and only stopped then because people were insisting on going and getting foodstuffs) and came back for a bit of compy time. Then I had the most amazing shower. I don't care if it sounds trivial. It was the best shower I've ever had in my entire life: the water so hot it was almost scaulding, long, languid, full of shampooy smells, refreshing once one stepped into the world again, kept me warm all day. Agh. It was perfect. I miss that shower. I should call it sometime.

Saturday was declared Skank Day by Chelsea and myself. So we wore our sexy underwear and our skanky clothes (I, apparently, was not skanky enough. Alas!) and we hit the mall (YES! THE MALL!) and I bought my Rocky Horror garb, or at least most of it. It's pretty sexy. I might put up pictures. We made Craig uncomfortable. It was fun.

Saturday night's Capture the Flag game was fan-fucking-tastic. Very, very, very different from B-Town CTF but amazingly fun. Everyone is so psyched about it now; it's brilliant! There's talk of an unofficial game next Saturday just because everyone had such a good time. I feel like a success. And it feels good. Then everyone came back to our room and we ordered pizza around midnight and watched The Boondock Saints and we didn't get to bed until two a.m. and all was right with the world.

Yesterday was One-Day Play Day here. Brian and I were SMs and it was a very long but rather fulfilling day. Saw a couple of okay plays, saw a couple of brilliant plays, got to fiddle with the light board... It was nice. I snagged a couple of scripts to take home to Matt next time I'm there. I'm hoping he can tell me what they were about. Because he would know. I'm sure they're super symbolic or something. But they're his kind of thing and I think he'll really like them. So, huzzah. Props to that I suppose.

Last night, Craig and Down-The-Hall-Matt and oh-so-gay Joe hung around in our room until all hours of the night and we passed around Hot Sex: How To Do It and it was thoroughly amusing. Joe has taken me under his wing and will skül me on the art of schmexxy things. I'm rather excited. Chelsea and I both got a mouthful of gay ass and were slightly traumatised and all of the blokes went home. Nonetheless, we still stayed up until half-three talking about everything and Chelsea is skipping class to take a much-needed nap. Me, I'm pretty okay. Just wishing I hadn't eaten that delicious scone last night.

So things around here are pretty okay. I haven't been a huge muffin of angst (a nice change) and I haven't been going out at odd hours to pick up fags and things seem to be pretty all-right with the world. I'm planning on going to Shabbat on Friday if I don't end up going home (that's pretty up-in-the-air right now. There are very pleasing arguments on both sides and I really don't know which one to go with) and my cramps are minimal right now so things should be just fine, at least for today.

So far as I know, there's minimal angst back home, which is lovely. But...I'm not hearing much. My mum's birthday is this week, as is Sam's, and I have to go out and get an envelope for the card I made her as well as some jewel cases for burnt CDs. I'm thinking about sticking mix tapes under my suitemates' door to stop their bad taste. This is because I've been spending too much time with Rob Fleming. I think everyone's doing pretty okay back in B-Town but some of them aren't really saying much at all so there's no real way to know. Troublesome.

I'll be calling home today to tell Sammy happy birthday (yes, we are that weird) and hopefully get a chance to talk to Da. I'll bring up the topic about possibly coming home and hopefully know what's going on with that tomorrow. It'd be nice to see the ranch again. I miss it. And maybe this time Da'll actually cook! *GASP!* HEY! Then we can celebrate Mum's birthday!

Okay. I'm a smart cookie. Oy.
