pointless post ahoy!

today i feel: chilly
today i'm hearing: wishbone on pbs. it's a good day.
today i'm thinking: today should be pretty good

I'm home for Spring Break! That's pretty swell. I hung out with JPalm last night and have firmly decided that I will never let him spike anything I'm consuming EVER AGAIN. My Shamrock Shake became an absolute travesty. What a shame.

Paige is in town! Hurrah! She's planning to call me once she's up and dressed this morning, but I'm pretty sure we both forgot about the time change and she is likely still fast asleep. Ah, well: no worries. I've got a comfy couch and freshly-discovered Wishbone re-runs. Today is a good day.

Tonight is the very last episode of The Wire ever. Tragedy! Randy's driving up from Carbondale so that we can watch it. Yes. It is silly. It is very, very silly. It's bound to be funtastic and depressing and very, very nerdy. I will spare you the details, if only to prevent eye-rolling from those who live with me and have to deal with my Wire crushing on a daily basis.

Something I've often pondered: why is Wishbone allowed in a library? Isn't that illegal?

I forgot how flippin' cold my parents' house is. There's a constant draft no matter where you go. Why?

I don't actually have anything inspiring to write. I apologise.

I used to meet Paige's mother in Lincoln every Saturday morning so I could have Paige. Lincoln was about halfway between Btown and Spfld. Two years in a row I got there on Daylight Savings Time day and sat in my car at Wendy's for an hour, waiting for Becky who, naturally, forgot about the time change. Of course I couldn't say anything to her; she always punishes you when she's wrong about something, even minor stuff.

And Paige has always been terrible at schedules and remembering things. Last visit here she left a bunch of stuff that I mailed to her. Not the first time. At least I didn't have to overnight it. That I've done a time or two.

But she gets it from her mom. I am notoriously ahead of schedule on meeting people. I hate making people wait on me. Mostly because I have spent large amounts of my life waiting on other people (mainly women, actually). Kimb, of course, never makes people wait on her. She's always considerate of other people. Well, you've met her so you know that.

Hope you are well and that you have had a good time this week. Spring break is always at least a week too short.
