a new one just begun

today i feel: sleepy, but hopeful
today i'm hearing: bishop allen -- the news from your bed
today i'm thinking: we can start again, right?

Happy New Year! It's still snowing outside and Mum and I are waiting for my grandparents to call, demanding freedom from their snowy driveway. Hopefully, they won't call, seeing how they shouldn't be out there anyway, but we'll see if that works out.

I guess I should post some resolutions or something. I think these are kind of...silly? I guess? It's all well and good to say these things when you don't really have any expectations or anything. I don't know. I don't understand most traditions anyway.

1. Be nicer to my body.
2. Lose some of those emo panda tendencies.
3. Do well on the next couple of shows (I know I've got at least two coming up this year. Scary!)
4. Do well in school.
5. Be more organised.

I figure if you keep these things vague enough, you've got a better chance of keeping up with them. Specificity sort of promises doom.

I'm feeling kind of puny today, probably because of allergies (caused by the kitty cat) and sleep deprivation (caused by I don't know what). For those of you in Central Illinoise, don't get lost in the frosty tundra out there. Hope all of you are well and lucky in this new year.
