So I just stopped by my mailbox to find that I had two packages waiting for me. This is why I love ordering shit from the interweb: the excitement of getting mail has never worn off. (Yesterday I got a book, a video, and a t-shirt I ordered over Thanksgiving. It was super-exciting. I felt hip all day.) Today, I got a package I had ordered for Randy's awesome show/Chanukah gift and another book on Helmuth Hübener (my current favourite historical character; also what yesterday's video and book were about). I ordered this book off of Amazon without really knowing anything about it; just reading that it was the 'definitive biography', which doesn't really mean a whole lot when you think about it.
Holy Shit. I could kill some bitches with this thing. It is 2 lbs, 7 oz according to the shipping information, hardcover, 594 pages (just printed) and fucking illustrated. The print is pleasantly large and I have a feeling I'm in for another innocently pro-Mormon read. That, and it's about half appendices, which always gets me going.
Excited? Me?? Nah...
Author's Note: I am, in fact, the biggest dork you will ever know. Thank you.
