Stacy drove down for the weekend Friday afternoon. She had fun getting molested by Clarky and running amok with me. Then Paige got in Saturday afternoon. We ran off for wacky adventures in Makanda and Giant City before Stacy, Chelsea and the homos hit up the gay bar and Paige and I curled up on the couch to eat fattening and, ergo, delicious food and watch Little Miss Sunshine. Then the three of us went to Harbaugh's for giant pancakes before Stacy had to leave town, leaving Paige, myself, Clarky and the Buttons to run amok in Castle Park. Which is kind of one of the coolest places ever. Not kidding. It's been an adventuresome weekend and I'm hoping to tuck in pretty early tonight so waking up at butt-crack dawn to get Paige to the train station doesn't become an issue. Will this happen? Likely not. Will I be studying German instead? Most assuredly not.
I like friends. Friends are pretty cool.
I don't know if I have much to update aside from that. We've had some rather dicey hijinks this weekend (as always, some more dicey than others) and I'm sad to see Paige and Stacy go as I return into the real world of school. Blargh. But tomorrow I get off of rehearsal so I'll be rocking out Passover in my own small way. Meaning laundry. I'm sure it's metaphorical for something. We'll just say it is.
I've got a strange nervousness about this next week. We're getting close to opening Urinetown and I'm sure new dilemmas are going to slide my way. That's just kind of how the world works on me. But I'm feeling pretty optimistic about it, if for no other reason than I just have no idea what's coming my way. And spending time with close friends always makes me feel a bit safer, a bit more ready to deal with whatever it is that's coming my way. And I'm sure a lot will be. It's the last full month of school, after all. Can't possibly be dull. Hope all of you are well tonight. Have a pleasant tonight, and an even brighter tomorrow.
