Another day in Car-bon-dah-lay and, damn, has it been hot. We're supposed to have a high of 92F tomorrow. Once you factor in the humidity and everything that equals about eleventy-billion degrees. Yep. Pretty hot.
Yesterday I had auditions for the Theatre Department and guess what! I got called back! TWICE! I just found out the second one. So tomorrow I'll be auditioning for The Highwayman and then The Crucible on Saturday. And exciting stuff it is! Slightly terrifying, but most things are. I guess I get to eat my words, Sneemus. They don't taste so great, though.
Escapades in Dorm Life continue with the institution of the Crazy Suitemates! My Suitemates? Crazy. They have shower orgies. They scream at very bizarre hours of the night. They are INVISIBLE. I have never seen these people. Chelsea has seen them...maybe once? They make shower curtains and step stools appear out of nowhere. And we're too frightened to go introduce ourselves! For we are wee and they are not and we can be easily traumatised by such things as strange liquids in the shower and strange noises at night. It's just our nature.
I saw John Tucker Must Die tonight. And I know what you're going to say but it was HILARIOUS! No, seriously! It was an honestly good movie! And there was even a lesson learned and all that. And boys in thongs! And girl-kissing! There's something for everyone! And the soundtrack kicks ASS! Ben Lee did a cover of Modest Mouse's Float On that was especially pretty. And People in Planes! Yay!
(Note: I don't know if I've ever actually heard People in Planes but their poster is on Matt's wall and I trust his taste in music considerably. Also, they were rather amusing in the film and that gets a gold star from me.)
I got lost in the Engineering building yesterday. For being built for engineers, it really doesn't make any sense. Apparently there's more than one building? ...In the same building? Don't really know. I got helped out by this really nice bloke who probably found it incredibly amusing that I was so bent out of shape about the alphabetical selection of the Engineering building. But tomorrow I have classes where I can actually find them so all should be fine. I think.
Oh, the trivialities of university life!
I'm looking forward to coming home. It's been ages since I've had a proper hug or fuzz therapy. Apparently, Basti's all bent out of shape because I'm not there. Poor little guy. Mum and Da are trying to especially lenient but it doesn't seem to be working. Hopefully he won't spend all of Saturday hating me. Although, considering the fact that I'm leaving him without a warming mattress almost immediately, he very well may do just that.
And I'll get to see Sneemus and Matt and Will and Christie (yes?? Christie??) and hopefully a few more of you, depending on how many of you are left in town. I've kind of lost track of who's leaving when and all that. Go figure.
It's bedtime. Class at nine. I'm too lazy to go get a picture for this post. Alas!
