Good news!:
I talked to Thetard today about possibly doing Hamlet next year. [please note: i know that this is not at all possible because we have no one who could play hamlet. i am not completely naïve!] When she gave me the expected answer of "no", I asked if we could do Rosencrantz and Guildenstern instead, including the idea of having Ros and Guil played by females. She denied this as well. So as Stoppard has taught me, I delved. And this was the result!!! We may attempt to cut it down for to an hour and perform it as a showcase outside of the regular season (think Shakespeare's Ladies but good). We might even submit it to TheatreFest. And if we do do it as a showcase, Ros and Guil can be girls!!!!! Modern dress, olde tyme rock!
Bad news!:
The bad news is not nearly as bad as the good news is good. Ahem. Seeing as Solo-n-ensemble is in ::counts on fingers:: nine days and Mum is only now getting calls on accompanying jobs [please note: corpus only just informed the world that we needed accompanists. she had fatter fish to fry, ie. dixit frickin' dominus], she has decided that now is the oppourtune moment for bitchiness. And seeing as I am the only person living under this roof that is ripe for the bitching (Da's got a nasty something, I think it's PBSD {post bronchial stress disorder}, I'm getting all of it. She only started last night, so it is sure to be a long and incredibly tedious ride. Oo. De. Lally.
That's all I got; I have class in eight hours. Tschüs!
